Hi I'm Buddy
Ursa is comming to meet me tommorrow if all goes well my new Mom can take me home with her on Sunday or Monday. Right now I'm at the Barrie SPCA sure will be nice to get outta here .

That's great Iggette....one lucky dog,looking at their web-site,it must have been very difficult to see the others and all those poor cats
 I hope he'll be a wonderful companion to your "bossy"girl and your cats..

Yes there is the bossy girl!!!!!!
A little background........when Ursa was a puppy she was bit by a larger stray dog the pound wanted her quarentined but my beau wanted no part of that so she stayed in the basement for 2 months with no social contact except for him. When she came out she had only been socialised with dogs of friends who came to her home 3 dogs in total, and a farm full of cats. She went on camping trips with her daddy all the time he is an avid fisherman and she loves sitting in the front of the boat. There is next to never any dogs where we camp. So again no socialization. Bandit was a happy social dog. When I had Bandit in Scarborough we went to the doggy park and walks around the block all the time he was well socialized. Then I moved North to the country (split up). Shortly after met my Beau and Ursa, they moved in with me, and Ursa quickly showed Bandit who was boss, he steeped aside and agreed. So they got along. So you see Ursa is not a well socialized dog when she is not in her own domain we keep her away from other dogs cause she just plain doesn't like them unless she is at her home and they come to visit ......then that is another story ....as long as the dog is submissive she is fine with having them in her domain. So you see I am very nervous about the meeting tommorrow beacause I think it is doomed from the begining .....however if Buddy just came home then he would be a welcome visitor  Sorry for babbling but is the best way to explain her demeanor

Fingers crossed for tomorrow Iggette!!! Maybe if you explain to them they need to meet at your house it would be better..
It would really sad if you have to leave him still at the shelter...he looks like a sweet dog,as do they all.. Good Luck!!

I dont think SPCA will do that she seemed rather insistant on the meeting there...........I dont even take ursa to town.... Oh Boy.....oh well I told her it was prolly best when I bring her that she come out to meet Ursa (the woman) to see that she is a sweetheart with people loves a good scratch on the noggan, just that dogs are another story

You MUST let us know right away
Note to Ursa Okay girl, you be on your bestest behaviour or you won't have a friend to boss around at home. Just think how much fun it's gonna be to steal Buddy's treats!

Wow, thats fast!! Congrats again!!! How wonderful!! That website almost made me cry!!! I wish I had a bigger yard and house.....I'd expand my zoo some more!! LOL
We are still learning with Brick, as is I'm sure everyone else who has pets.......good luck and have fun with him!!! And remember, we are all here to help if ya need it!!!
