yeah....I've always wanted a Dane, and I know the seniors are harder to adopt out....this girl has such a sweet face. Plus, the fact that she's living with a boxer takes it home for me

I'm not a huge fan of Afghans, but I must admit she's a beauty

Uhh.. I don't know about that one... He has too much Boo mischief in his eyes. The two of them together... that would be...

Here's the one I want:
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7217585

Just kidding!

OMG this one's perfect for Jiorji!!!
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7229896

Meb I thought you wanted him: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7196903

These are my picks (top 4):
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6851953
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7184569
and these (all of them):
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7177940
(if I had room )

The yellow lab I wanted is gone (hopefully to a forever home). She was a runty, super fat, almost white, senior yellow lab. Adorable.
But if I can't have her, I'll take this guy.
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7091369

There's also an albino dobie that could be fun too.

There are just too many!

What a fun thread! I can't help but post. I try to stay off of petfinder because I know I can't have any more dogs. But ya'll sucked me in. Here is my fav. I love her sweet face and pitiful looking droopy ears.

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7234049

And who could resist those eyes and big smile!

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=5618991

And last one. Talk about how people stink!

I want them all.

However there are a few that I really would like.
The Dane I was keeping an eye out for seems to have found a home ( yay)

But these two have been on my mind too lately. My 2 favorite breeds.
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6657961

A blind Rottie and his 10 year old Cocker spaniel friend.
Poor guys. I wish I could adopt them.

As for me, this girl has already found a (hopefully) forever home, but I would have LOVED to adopt her (or her puppies): http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7203196

I would LOVE a BMD as our next rescue, so here are a couple that I found...

I'm actually having a hard time finding a match anywhere in Ontario.... The criteria we've kind of narrowed down for our next (rescue) dog is:

1. Has to be good with kids (we have young ones so not everyone will adopt out to a family with kids under 8);
2. I'd like a BMD, Newf, Saint or Dane, DH has his heart set on a BMD;
3. I'd like a 95+ lbs dog. DH and I have agreed that we'll add 2 dogs in the future after we no longer have our shepherd, but only one of them will be a BIG dog, so I really would like for it to ideally be between 100-130 lbs, but then again of course that's not the most important criteria at all!

Now there are quite a few cute Saints in the states that would fit the bill & I keep my eyes open for Quebec rescues too, unfortunately you guys get more of the breeds I love in rescue up there.....

If we didn't have kids we'd be able to open our doors to a lot of other dogs with more baggage that really tug at my heart. I deal with quite a few GSDs that are just wonderful, but we've decided that a 'gentle giant' is more the type of dog that would fit into our family next.

You're right, the family that ends up with this special boy will be VERY lucky! He seems to just have the most amazing attitude  I'd love to adopt him too if BMDLuver thought he would be ok in a home with kids! Hmmmm, maybe we'll have to fight it out Golden Girls Please get better asap SAM!!!

Speaking of BMDs if distance wasn't an issue these 2 boys would be great since they need a home together, that way I'd get two! But fat boy's name would have to be changed asap, that just doesn't sit well with me: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7131964

I actually did manage to negotiate 2 BIG dogs with hubby already, but then I ruined it all! Lol, no but he's into hunting and would really love a field companion with him on his outings and so I thought it was only fair that I'd give in a bit too..... I would just love to have 2 big ones though! Hmmm, maybe 2 big ones and then a smaller hunting dog? Well thankfully we still have our old shepherd and we of course want her to live for as looooong as possible, so hopefully these decisions won't have to be made for quite a few more years

remember, this is a "dream list".... no way would an afghan rescue send one of their precious girls across the continent to a home with two akitas, you know? but... it's my dream

so go ahead everyone, no holds barred.... dream away!

Ok then! The 2 BMD boys would be my choice! I can go for 2 since they're in the same listing Now since I'm really dreaming away it would be great if the hip dysplasia wouldn't be an issue for one of the boys, but we would definitely deal with it!

100%doglover, they are both GORGEOUS! (and I agree on changing Fat Boy's name!) I would like our second dog to be a BMD...but I think we will stick to one at the moment...he is our little handful! I think though, next time, we will be adopting an older dog.
