except petfinder, where else to adopt a dog from
Hi, It has been a while since I posted, but i thought you may be able to help:
My parents are looking to adopt a young, small (under 25 pounds), short haired dog. He/she must be good with kids and cats (they have 3 cats and I have two small kids that are regularly visiting). My parents have been looking on pet-finder for a while now but it looks like there are very few young dogs that would be a good fit for them and by the time they fill the adoption form the dog is already adopted. Does anyone know where else they can look for a rescue dog? we are in the Toronto area. Thank you!

I found some shelters , I am not sure if they're near you or not. Good for parents wanting to rescue a dog . You could also try putting up a sign in a vet office , people something have to give their dog up b/c they are moving or can't keep them b/c of health issues. |

for sure - rescue shelters! If you are partial to a breed, just google
(breed type) rescue toronto. Good luck!
