Nutram Cat Food
im not sure if i mentioned Lola isnt eating the dried food her previous owner gave her so friends with cats have been giving me loads of little samples (including the petshop!) of various dried food and one she loves is Nutram but looking at the ingredients im not too sure if its that good for her...
has anyone gave it to their cat? i was going to try the urinary one as she has had crystals in the past.

If she's prone to crystals, she shouldn't be eating ANY dry food. She needs the higher water content of wet food to help flush them out. As well, the ridiculously high carbohydrate content of most dry foods (Nutram included) creates an alkaline environment in which struvite crystals are more likely to form in the first place. The solution is to feed a quality meat-based wet food, preferably grain-free or at least low in carbs (under 10%). Wellness, By Nature Organics, Nature's Variety, Precise, some Merrick flavours, even gluten-free Fancy Feast would all be better than any of the dry foods out there.
