Which is better for my cat? Dry food or Wet food?

I currently feed my cat 1 cup a day of dry food, broken up to ½ a cup in the morning and ½ a cup at night. I only give him a can of wet food once a week as sort of a “treat”. Now Im wondering if Im making the right choice and should be giving him more wet food and less dry food? So which is healthier for my kitty? Dry food or wet food? And why? How much should I feed him of both?

Wet food is hands down healthier for cats. This link should give you all the nitty-gritty details why: www.catinfo.org

Canned for sure is way better than dry.
For the whys Sugarcatmom has given you a great website
For how much that depends on the age, weight & activity level of your cat plus the calorie value of the foods

Wet food is better. Hopefully you are not part of the Test Market for the new Recycle Bins - we are - started yesterday. I remember the canned diabetic food our cat had to eat - I could wash those cans 10 times and they would still stink. But you have to do what you have to do. Good think I don't buy much canned food.
