tickled by the "fancy feast gourmet gold" ad on tv

so naturally i went to see what's in the stuff... holy house of horrors, batman! it is beyond bad! how a cat can survive on this stuff is beyond me... like they give a crap about the product name, shiny package, fancy shapes and supermodel cat featured in the commercial (who's probably a hand-puppet from the shops of hollywood!) - UUGGHH!

please oh please people... just NEVER buy pet food in a grocery store!

Could someone explain to me why they put artificial color in dog and cat food?? I know that humans like colors that aren't found in nature but aren't the animals smarter about that sort of thing than we are? I guess becasue the humans are buying they try to trick us by making the garbage look like real food.

Funny you should mention that. Some holistic foods have no added colors and people actually switch away from them because the food can be darker or lighter depending on the batch and people think inconsistency means the food is bad...
