Our Beloved Loudmouth Crossed the bridge today.
This morning at 11am our beloved cat Loudmouth crossed the bridge.
He took his last breath while cradled in my arms. He knew that he was loved always and will be missed dearly. He is about 14 years old and his passing was not expected at all. He went quietly and peacefully. He was my baby even though he was close to 20lbs. His favorite thing was to hop on the couch and curl up in your lap or lie in your arms so that it looked like you were cradling a baby. Today and for many days to come, we will grieve your crossing the bridge. We know that you will be waiting at the bridge for the day to come when you can again jump into my arms and feel the warmth and love that we have shared. Bill

They certainly do take up a lot of room in our hearts. Right now his spot is filled with tears while I know he is purring up a storm to say it is ok. Bill

What a gorgeous little guy he was, Bill. And lucky, too, that he was loved by you.

Thanks everyone it really means a lot
. He certainly is a character. Biggest suck on four paws. He had a habit of parking his front paws in the food bowl while chowing down. Made it just that much harder for anyone else to join in at chow time. Winston. He came by his name honestly. We, like many people kinda wait for some trait or quirk or see just what kind of name fits the personality. In Loudmouths case, when he was a kitten he would scream at the top of his lungs for attention. He was the runt of the litter, but let me tell you his lungs were fully developed. He would scream for his attention. We would go up and sit with him and his brothers and he would be happy. Of course the response he would get would be something along the lines of "ok ya little loudmouth, we are here. Are ya happy now?" Well the name just kinda stuck as it did fit the character. As he grew, his purr took over. It would at times be so strong that you could hear it five feet or more away. Again the name really fit. Bill

Pipercats, I am so sorry for your loss. Loudmouth sounds like a wonderful companion. He will be engraved in your hearts forever I am certain.
So Loudmouth..to you little man...run carefree and wild over that bridge. Make sure that you keep everyone entertained as you did when earthbound. Bless your heart. I think you leave behind many fond memories to those that loved you so. Peace and strength to you Pipercats. |

You know Pipercats..I have to say that though you mourn the loss of your cat, I actually thought of you today.
I volunteer at a shelter and we have so many black and white cats and just plain black cats. Only one cat was adopted and though our black/whites have been there for so long, no one once again were interested. I was so discouraged but that is when I thought of Loudmouth and how much you loved him. I pray that our cats find such a wonderful home with the love and committment that you provided. Thank you for sharing your story about Loudmouth. It actually gave me that hope that ours will find such a great family one day. |

Thank You for volunteering and thinking of us today. I hope and pray as well that those black and white kittys and the all black that are so often overlooked will soon find a home. They all have so much to offer if we just take the time to let them. We have two black cats at home as well. To say they are love bugs is an understatement.
