Yep, my work machine - the only problem I've come across is when an independent ad server (like adserver.com) goes down, IE7 has to phone home to the mothership to grab from the cache, or check permissions. Depending on where the local cache is for that server or company, this can take awhile or not be noticable at all.

I'm running it on my XP home version and love it. It's a little glitchy sometimes, but it's a very neat program... Have fun!

LOL HunterxHunter, love the signature, mind if I borrow it?

I generally use firefox myself, but since I'm tech support for my family, I have to at least know what's going on with new Microsoft products

I agree. I use Firefox at home and IE at work, and I would much rather use Firefox.

I'm using IE7 and I like the look and it's easy to use... Nothing bad to say about it, seriously! Took me 5 minutes to get used to

i just downloaded it yesterday, still trying to get use to it but i have a huge problem. Maybe someone here could help me because i am not that computer literate. I play on a game website that has chat, my window for the games is so big it cuts off the chat and smiley section, I play in a league i need to use the chat and now i can't. I have tried unsuccessfully to make the window smaller but to no avail. Anyone have ideas to what i could do?

Hi dogcatharmony,
You can change the resolution on your desktop....right click - properties - settings tab - then move the slider bar under screen resolution to a bigger number, that makes the screen space larger and everything a little smaller.

The easier choice is try toggling the choices in the little zoom box in the bottm right hand corner of IE7 while in the game. When we did this for my roommate, we were able to leave the screen resolution alone, and after toggling the change zoom level a time or two it kept her settings so when she plays the games she could type in the chat box.

Good luck...I love IE 7 otherwise, just a few little things that are annoying.

Diane

To be honest, I am not a fan of IE - it has too many security flaws. I like Firefox as well. I have to have IE tho though since I do some biotech research and our IT stuff needs to be compatible with all the browsers. IE does not always recognize all the elements of the various formatting scripts and it is not great for being accessible - but that can be tweaked by developers but with some of the other browsers, that is already given consideration. MS has always been superb at marketing other ppl's ideas and making them worse. (Out of curiosity, I once compared how many unwanted objects various browsers dled. IE was so far behind the others. Firefox had none.)

I was once - in say 1996 or so - even naive enuf to think that IE would not overtake Netscape when it was bundled with Windows (at the time, Netscape - which could be dled) led the market and IE 2 also had to be dled. Now of course, the vast majority use IE. I can even remember Mosaic and even Gopher and Veronica, lol

dogcat. maybe the games are in Macromedia Flash and you need to zoom in or out? It depends on the platform - the suggestion re screen resolution may also help.

Good luck!
