I wouldn't give more than 2 tablespoon per day. If you give too much , it will do the reverse reaction (more soft stool).

I'm hoping other members will comment on the amounts , maybe you could give more ....

Nice topic, I know!

Thanks in advance!
I'm curious, why did you switch foods? It sounds like the Eukanuba did not give you this problem so why did you take him off it? I can't tell from your post if the anal gland problem started on the Euk or appeared after the Nutro. What is the anal gland problem?

I'm not sure if your answering to me about my 4 mnth old Boxer but I never said he wasnt on Puppy food. He is on Puppy food but his stool is soo soft you cant even pick it up sometimes and is gross... We currently switched him from Orijen to Acana which so far is seeming to help abit and I gave him some pumpkin last night and this morning so far its been good. i'll see tonight after work how he's doing!! If Pumpkin doesnt work i'm gonna try Plain Yogurt... Thanks

It should help within a day or two. I also think that you may be overfeeding her a bit. The feeding chart on the back of the bag is just a guide and you need to take into consideration how many treats she gets per day and how much exercise.

Try cutting back to 2 cups a day and then increase to 2 1/2 cups If her poop stays firm increase to 3 cups and if the diarrhea returns then cut the amount back.

Okay, Thank you.. I think thats what we will try to do and see if it helps. So far i think the pumpkin maybe helping, but we will still cut back to 2 cups and then increase it slowly....he is already 36lbs and 18weeks we thinks hes gonna be a big boy, well bigger then his dad his feet are same size as his dads now!! Thanks again..
