sample raw meals - photos
Thought i'd share a few photos of the kid's raw meals - only snapped a few the past days so by all means, it's not ALL they eat, LOL! i'll take more this week to add to the collection, weekends tend to be all over the place.
bone-in goat: ground chicken frame & beef heart mix, beef kidney, boiled cauliflower & brocoli: seared chicken legs: ground chicken frames & beef heart mix with canned tuna: the kids got some leftovers today... beef bourgignon & egg noodles:

Not sure if I have the stomach to make one of those raw mélanges, but I'm still learning things.

Are sea smelts any different from the ones that I can catch around here in the spring??? Cause if no... well we usually fill up 4 or 5, 5 gallon buckets (me and the girls, its our spring tradition ) anyway, no human can possibly consume that many smelts and you cant use them as bait in most lakes around here so we used to feed them to the cats for a bit then throw them out by fall.
Never even thought of feeding the dogs smelts... thanks TD. By the way,,,, some scrumptious meals your "beanies" get!

well the ideal is you just hand a chicken leg to your dog and he goes to town but i can't count on my kids to eat that twice per day, so to make sure they do eat enough calories the easiest and quickest way for us is to make the raw mixes and feed it to them by hand. i have weird dogs, what can i say? but they're bursting with health so i must be doing something right, LOL!
back to the grinder we go this weekend... with even MORE meat than last time since it's working so well

I'm just curious. The picture of the pork roast looks quite fatty. Is that really safe to feed?

I think it just looks fatty because it's seared
