My cat, Maizie died
I am so so very sad. My darling little cat, Maizie, who was just over 2 years old, was the sweetest, smartest, cutest cat I've known. I recently moved to this hood so she could go outside, which is what she loved. Last night she was killed by coyotes. Today I found the remains of her body and brought her home. I'm still processing it and am in shock. I feel sad, bad and guilty that I let her go outdoors. But as she was a rescue who was found alone on a farm. So she had known and loved the outdoors. When I had kept her indoors the whole time, she wasn't happy and we would fight.
I don't know how to process this. I have her next to me now and I stroke her head, look at her and still can't believe that I won't see her bounding upto me, so happy to see me, or snuggled with me in bed. This hurts so much. I'm glad I found this forum, as reading other people's posts is comforting. Maizie's Mama |
