My cat has lived for over 14 years.. and i think its time she goes.. she is very skinny and weak.. and i dont want her to suffer? i live in leduc i wanted to know where i could get her put down and how much it would cost.

I find it somewhat cold that after having a cat this long one of the first things you say is how much will it cost to put her down!

Your cat may be skinny and weak but doesn't have to die! Whats wrong with your cat? It could just be a simple medical problem that can be resolved.

i know i mean... she has no more strength.. and its a holiday and i need to get her to the vet. its ive had this cat for so long i dont want it to suffer.

weak( woddles when walks and is slow moving.. dont think it can jump anymore)

Maybe you should have her tested for hypothyroidism, which is an overactive thyroid gland, quite common in older cats. My sister's cat is 17. A couple of years ago she was in the same state, incredibly thin (even though she ate well) weak and irritable. The vet diagnosed hypothyroidism and with a small amount of medication daily she bounced right back and is still going strong.

if anyone knows where i can find a vet in leduc to look at my cat i will get her there today.. but its a sunday at 6:40pm and i have no idea where any are. i hope i can get her some medicine and she can be better. I wish i knew the location of a pet clinic.

i dont know.. i have no vechile so its hard for me to move around... i dunno..im only 18 and live on my own.. dont got much money.. but really dont want my cat to be like this.. i dont know where anything is in this town as i just moved here not to long ago

we found this cat along time ago.. ive had it since it was 4...and it was real young. it was my moms cat.. and my mom died a couple years ago so this cat means a lot.. she is going to the vet tommorow morning..

Leduc isn't that big, there shouldn't be too many to choose from! I hope you find it in your heart to help your cat, and not just put it down! I also hope it isn't anything serious! Good luck with her!

For the matter of waiting over the weekend, why is that such a big deal? The cat doesn't sound like it's in accute pain, but moreso an ongoing problem. I would wait until someone can help find you the vet in town or nearby and a ride there, and take the cat in to get checked out. I tried 411.ca but it couldn't even find Leduc, PQ. I tried Mapquest, and it couldn't find Leduc either. Go where you get your catfood and ask the person there for the local vet's address or phone number. Or just wait by the catfood aisle for someone to buy a tin, and ask them where they take their cat. You never know, you might even meet some people.
If you've had the cat for 10 years, you might be able to have it for a few more with some help from the vet. Like others were saying, it could be something simple.

Kazyer,you sound really sad,so I believe you really care..I am sorry you don't have anyone to help out.
Hopefully by now you have found a solution one way or the other,14yrs is really not old,she's senior,but still has a few years to go..
Many cats as they get older will be skinny,the wobblyness is something different though,but I hope it's nothing serious..
She must mean a lot to you since she belonged to your mom,it's hard to lose a mom when you're so young,I know I did too

I am so sorry to hear about your situation, If I was you I would call the vet and explain your situation about losing Mom and now caring for her cat and what the cat means to you and your financial situation If the vet has a heart he/she will give you a discount on the visit or at the very least give you time to pay the bill in installments.
