Excessive barking
Hello ev1. Just wondered my friend has a 2 year old maltease/shih tzu and Saturday night we we all at the club house for a barbeque and her dog was at home next to club house and was barking probably for 5 hours off and on. She noticed the next day he did not want to eat, not barking and then noticed his throat swollen. Today he is eating and drinking but not barking much.
Can it affect his lyrnax, possibly swollen. |

Yes, our dogs routinely bark themselves hoarse when there's roadwork, power line crews, the mowing company at the house next door....well, you get the idea! But they do all tend to get hoarse if they bark excessively. If the dog stays quiet for a few days and there's no improvement, then a vet check would be in order, but it sounds like he's improving some?

Billy still has laryingitis
Thank you Hazelrunpack for the quick response. He is still not 100%, and throat is still swollen but not as bad. He still does not want to seem to bark.
If he is still like that by Friday, she should be taking him to the vet. |
