I just read this on yahoo news.

lead defense attorney Billy Martin said in a statement.

"Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter."

*rolls eyes* Yeah, all of his apologies won't bring back those poor dogs that died because of his sick need for a thrill. And it won't prevent the euthanasia of the dogs taken from his kennels because they will be unadoptable.

I almost wish he'd gone to trial, but at least this way there is some kind of guarantee of punishment. Who knows if he went to trial he might not have gotten off from some technicality.

I hope he gets the full five years in jail instead of the lousy 1 yr - 18 months he's likely to get. Sadly, he'll probably be treated like a Prince in jail. Oh well, at least he's doing the "right" thing and acknowledging his guilt and culpability.

The best thing that could happen to that slime bag is that he gets banned from the NFL for life.

First he denies any involvement, then he accuses his cousins of lying and taking advantage of him while they were staying at his home, now he states he is guilty and sorry. Bulls..t, He is only sorry that he got caught and losing everything.

I like the idea of Bubba and the rape barrel while he is in prison .

I am really pleased the way this has opened up peoples eyes to the horror of dog-fighting,even if Vick does not get a long prison-sentence,maybe we will see more vigilance against the torture of dogs
I am just hoping he'll be kicked out of the NFL forever and it says the Falcons will probably try to get $27 million back from Vick,he will suffer, for sure, used to a luxurious lifestyle we could only dream of..
In jail, inmates have a special hatred for people who hurt kids and animals,Vick will more than likely be isolated from the rest.
P.S..Had this happened here in Canada,he would get housearrest

From your mouth to God's ears. I hope the other inmates treat him just like he treated those poor dogs.

You are right about the inmates, chico. He will probably be in isolation if he gets jail time.

I think we must have the slackest justice system in all of the first world countries.

Another defense attorney, James D. "Butch" Williams Jr., alluded to the harsh public backlash against Vick since the July 17 indictment detailed the abuse of dogs on Vick's property in Surry County, Va.

"Michael is a father, he's a son, he's a human being; people oftentimes forget that," he said.

Huh? Um...okay "Butch" and your point is? It's because he's a father, son AND human being that he should have some compassion! He had none, so why should he be given any?

Is this guy for real?

Oh, for the love of Mike!!

I would imagine that his mother is just sickened by the accounts of what her son has done. Or, at least I hope she is!

Can you imagine what this man teaches his child/children? Yet another abusive generation. Just what we need.
