Pet Travel Advice
I'm planning on taking my X-Mas trip this year with my beautiful girl, but for that I need to put her an a plain for 2 hours and 30 min. I can't express how nervous this makes me. For some reason I feel like the experience is going to be very traumatizing for her, and of course it's last thing I want for her. The reason I'm taking her with me is because I do not trust these kennel places that look after them. They don't give them love, affection, enough walks, special requirements, etc. (No one is better than MOM ) Now as if the whole airplane thing wasn't enough to worry me, I am now hearing of people that recommend that I sedate her for the flight. Some people say it's best, others say it's dangerous. My first thought was if I was scared and drugged it would be terrifying. I don't know what to do.... please if any of you have traveled with pets, give me some advice on how to prepare her and how to make it as pleasant as possible as well.
Thank You so much! |

I have not had to travel on a plane with my pet but I have travelled in the car...But if it is such a short flight maybe try without it...especially if it sedates your dog...My only worry would be to ensure that the carrier is really secure because dogs can panick right?? I wouldnt be able to take a trip without my guy either..Enjoy your trip!
