Thank you both. I am frantic with worry, but remain hopeful. I have done every recommendation on the list, and then some.

Unfortunately the city of Verdun has just ordered me to take down every poster within 24 hours or face a fine for each one. There are about 300 posted - I went all over the neighborhood, and even posted in all the back alleys.

I try to keep the crying to a minimum, and focus on not giving up. She is a well-loved cat.

Been there, done that it's terrible that you cannot put flyers up. I believe if you go to City Hall you could pay for a permit Anyways I have a gf who lives very close to this area, I've emailed her your cat's photo. I hope you find your cat soon

Wow,I cannot believe that, flyers are the only way to alert the people in your neighborhood.
I've actually reunited 2 cats with their owners from flyers in a grocery-store.

Chatte Noire, I was told that you can't post them on the poles because it's Verdun property.

Have you tried going to the stores in your area and asking them if they would put a flyer in their window. Some people are kind enough to do it.

I live in Verdun also, near Wellington & Hickson, so I'll keep an eye out for your precious FrauFrau. She is gorgeous.

Is she friendly enough to approach or will she run and is she normally an indoor or outdoor cat?

I hope and pray that she makes it back home safe and sound.

rg_girlca,

Thank you. I am trying to stay positive as much as possible. I have left flyers at a few places, placed an ad in the paper, and even put flyers in my neighbours mailboxes. I have also placed litter and my used sheets on the balcony, visit the shelters and spca regularly, and check all the sites for lost & found animals.

She is an indoor cat that likes to sit on my balcony in the evening. She responds to my whistle immediately. She was there at 10 pm, and gone by 10:30.

She is normally incredibly friendly and affectionate. Although she may be scared. Several of my neighbours tell me that she may have been stolen because she is so cute and sweet - I had no idea she was so well-liked!

I miss her terribly. Some animals you just fall in love with.

Here's a thought, you said that she responds to your whistle, have you tried going down your back laneway whistling to see if maybe she could be locked in somone's garage or shed. Or go down the streets later at night whistling and listen if you hear her meow, just in case someone does have her in their house and they have their windows open, just maybe she might hear you and respond.

Also, I noticed today that you have your flyers on poles in my back laneway and was wondering if you wanted me to take them down for you since you have been warned by the City of Verdun. If so, then I will give them to some of my cat loving neighbours and tell them to keep and eye out for her.

Prayers and postive thoughts still on the way.

FrauFrau get that beautiful butt of yours back home this instant. Your poor meowmie is worried sick about you.

rg_girlca,

Yes, I've walked the alleys late in the evening and early morning. Whistling and calling her name. Then waiting for a few moments, and moving on. That, and responding to every false alarm - which I don't mind doing.

I would rather leave the posters in the alleys. Several friends helped me put them up, and if the city bugs me, I'll just tell them I didn't know where they had all been placed - which is true! It still angers me that they ordered me to take them down.

I do wonder if someone stole her. If that is the case I can only hope they will want the reward money more than the cat.

Thank you (and everyone) for your well-wishes. Yesterday was a particularly bad day. I'm sure I do not have to explain to you all just how much I love this little creature, and how painful it is to not know what has happened to her.

Melinda,

Yes, I have done this a bit. I cannot see on the third floor windows, but I go out early in the morning and in the evening and call for her, then listen carefully.

She has a high-pitched meow like a little baby - very distinctive.

I cannot decide which is worse; her outside wandering or in the hands of someone delusional enough to steal a well-loved and well-cared cat. Someone who does that is not concerned with her well-being.

I am so happy to hear this wonderful news that your beloved FrauFrau is back home.

I hope your little adventure was very scary for you FrauFrau, so you don't take off and worry your meowmie like that again.

She does not appear to be harmed.

Certainly skinnier, and somewhat dazed - in fact, we both lost weight this week!

He coat is still nice and shiny, not dirty or messy, considering she's been gone 12 days. I will take her to the vet next week to have her checked out - she's overdue anyway.

I'm purring, also, profusely!

I wish Jacko does, too.

It's heartbreaking, I know. The best you can do is follow all the advice on how to find her, and hope she turns up.

May Jacko return!!!
