Lost dog--oakville, on - Dog was found

Posting for a friend.....Dec. 26, 2011 (around 7:30 a.m.)
Upper Middle Road area and Elm Rd.

"Nellie" is medium sized, 50 lbs, 7 years old, spayed female.
Bearded collie/retriever mix, longish wavy hair, mostly black with white stripe down chest, white tip of tail, and some white on toes/paws.
--Wearing a collar with tags for vet in Gravenhurst.

This dog was let out by an elderly visitor and within minutes vanished, has probably been picked up in a car.
Dog has no history of running away, is obedient and quiet and friendly.

Please PM Bina for any reported sightings or questions. THANK YOU !!!!!

-----FOUND-----

Nellie was picked up by a dog loving person driving by who took Nellie to her home about 1/2 hour away and proceeded to try all the phone numbers on her various tags....none of which were her newest home phone number.

If Nellie had been wearing a new tag with new phone number she would have been returned within the hour instead of 24 hours later. Tags for vet clinics, municipalities, etc. won't be effective if your dog is lost on a holiday.
Also, try to remember to keep the original rescue organization updated with new contact info.
Anyway, a happy ending. Thanks for reading.
