LOST cat - Chesterville, ON

1 year old, female, spayed. Calico/torbie fur, with distinctive black spot on right hind leg. Very petite (7-8 lbs). Extremely friendly and answers to "Molly". Last seen on Thursday July 16th. Any information would be appreciated. She's very missed.

Bendy this is such sad news....I know you must have looked high and low for her, is there any way she could have got between the walls or something far out like that...I can't see her going far, she so loved 'her' gang

Bendy I am so sorry your having a rough go of it lately! You be sure to know all your friends here are thinkning of you and sending positive thoughts your way!

I was thinkng if Molly is still around the exterior of the house somewhere she is probably mighty hungry by now. Do you think you might try putting some food out anyway? even the smell of food may lure her out and at least you would know? she may not come to you but at least you would know?

Thinkig of you and DW!

Cindy

Molly come home girl!

Bendy, I am so sorry Molly is lost. I know in your other thread you said if you put food out that other strays would get it. Have you tried going out late at night - 11ish, or early in the morning - 5ish with a package of treats? You shake them and call. Maybe she is stuck somewhere and you could hear her crying. I know how frustrating it is to be looking for a lost kitty.
Could you put her litterbox or something that smells like you outside in a box? Or possibly a live trap if you have one. But if you have a stray problem you would probably catch one of them.
I wish I could be of more help. My prayers are with you and your spouse.

Are there any narrow pipes around the property at all...I know I'm grabbing at straws, but I know you would have already looked in all of the conventional places one would look.

Bendy, go to my thread on Shai. I have some links there that may help you out. I know hw difficult it is looking in a rural area.(beleive me! It is one of the most frustrating thing I have had to do) The links I posted there for you may give you a clue on where to look. Have you dont he usual of the flyers and contacting neighbours in a good radius of you? Depending on her personality, she could have traveled up to 5 miles away...
Sending hugs and Guardian Angels to you and Molly

She was a stray before I got her, she has no fear of the outdoors, and she's also very friendly with people...best case scenario IMO is that she's wandered off and found some people who are feeding her (although she's perfectly cabable of getting her own food, so I'm not too worried about that). I think the flyers are the best thing right now...I'm working on spanning out from our home, a little every day...there is no sign of a car incident (that we've been able to see), but my biggest fear is the predators out here...

Your story did give me some hope, but I have to admit I'm already trying to protect my heart at this point...it's been a week now since we've seen her.

Bendyfoot - how about you send me by e-mail with all information and I will have this cross posted in Ontario. It goes out to many rescues and people of concern. All I need is a picture and a bio and where the cat was last seen (or lost).

This is an effective way believe it or not.

Anyways - if this interests you PM me with your e-mail address.

Mine was the predators too. The coyotes especially. I guess the only thing I can say that may give you hope is if Shai can survive out there amongst them for 3 1/2 weeks and come back with not a scratch, your girl should be able to too. Dont give up hope. It truly is the most important thing to keep you going. I kept envisioning Shai coming out of the woods, or up from the creek or just appearing(just as he did!) and would not allow the other visions into my head. I am a firm beleiver in if you can envision it, it will happen so keep the happy thoughts and I will too for you...

Im so sorry to hear that Bendy.. Did you do the flyers and/or check out those websites I suggested? They may have clues to help you locate her. My heart goes out to you and I keep Shais Gaurdian Angels watching over her...
