Quebec is awful for dogs! Any help for recreation ideas???
I am really missing my dog-friendly British Columbia
![]() I live 30 minutes south of Montreal (St-Jean/Monteregerie) and can't find ANY dog-friendly areas within a decent radius. I don't want to go to dog parks (I have a 2 year old with me), I just want to go to a nice recreation area/provincial/national park with my doggie. This was never an issue in BC but here? Yikes. Any tips? We have been turned away from St-Bruno and St-Hilaire. |

I'm out in Rigaud, and there are trails here that you can walk your dog on (onleash). It's quite far from you unfortunately :/

The best place I've found for my dogs, other than the woods out behind the house and the corn fields in late Fall and in Winter, is the green space surrounding an outdoor mall believe it or not
![]() ![]() If you feel like taking a longer ride and making a day of it, you might want to look into Guides Canins in St. Lazare. For a fee, they may allow you to use their grounds for taking leisurely walks. There are other dogs there but very few during the week and they are impeccably trained. http://www.guidescanins.com/en/index.html

Maybe, you can ask you neighborhood. If they can suggest any place that's possible for you to reach. You can also search the web for the possible results.
