11 month old having accidents
Hello! Indy, our golden retriver, is 11 months old and just recently started having accidents at home. She was doing really well and we had had no trouble with her up until about 10 days ago. Nothing has changed that I can think of. She's been home while we go to work for awhile now and has had no trouble holding it until we got back. We haven't changed her food and I can't think of anything that's really changed. We had a couple of people staying over for one night last week and one night this week but I can't imagine that that would throw her off? the first accident was about 10 days ago when she peed in the house while we were there. I didn't see any of her usual warning signs. Perhaps I missed them but, like I said, she's always been able to hold it for hours and this was a couple of hours after her last trip outside. The second was a few days ago while we were out (peeing onthe floor both times) and then today she pooped on the floor while we were gone. Is this usually an age where they have these training "brain farts" and it's "normal"...or is this something I should be concerned about?

Start with a vet appointment to rule out a uti or anything else medical. When accidents start out of the blue there is often a cause, and things like uti's may not present them selves in a way that you immediatly think oh medical problem.
After ruling out a medical issue, I would think about reverting a little and taking some space back, and confining a little more if it truely is a regression problem.

I would take her to the vet for a check-up first as well.

Absolutely vet time. Kitas sister was doing this and my freind brought her in for a check up and sure enough it was uti.

I had the same thought. TOuch wood...no accidents in about 5 days or so. Our schedule changed a bit in the last month and we were out later then usual. I am wondering if that's enough to throw her off. Anyway, I will keep an eye on her and if it happens again, I will be sure to take her to the vet. Thanks everyone!
