Always love the pics of your contented cats. And, the one of Vinnie drinking out of the bird bath is so cute.

Is catnip invasive? Does it need sun or shade?

Awww, beautiful kitties . I like the one of Vinnie drinking from the bird bath. Were the birds squaking at him the whole time?

Thank's everyone
As for the cat-nip,it really is a weed and invasive,if you don't trim it back.
I bought ours at the nursery,it will grow and grow,in sun, shade, whatever,my cats ALL love it,better than the dry stuff from the store.

Such beautiful cats! Vinnie just cracks me up! He seems like such a character.

Do your cats keep the catnip well trimmed for you?

I love your kitties Chico2, they're so lucky to have a nice backyard like this.

I still haven't got the chance to take Monsieur le chat for a walk in our backyard , tried last year, he's ok with the harness but not with the long leash, he completely freaked !

Fun! I grow my own too, but hang it from the fence to keep it out of cats reach. They dont' seem to interested in it until it is dried, though. It seems easy to grow but I have to constantly water it, probably because the plant hanger is small, and the soil dries really fast. I get enough from the one plant to give away to others and supply my own cats for a year. Just cut it when it flowers, and hang upside down 'til dry.

Well Mahealani, they don't seem interested in leaving my yard,we have fencing all around and started training each cat from kittenhood, begining with a harness.
As long as we our outside they are happy,if we go to the bathroom or so,they'll all line up at the patio-door,wondering where we are
Chico has jumped the fence a few times, but he'll be meowing at the gate in no time, wanting back in.
They'll be outside with us,from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm,while we garden etc...now they are totally conked out,it was a beautiful day
We are retired so we have lots of time to love these little guys,we both love the outdoors,so it's no chore..

You sure have beautiful kitties. my kitty was the ugliest kitty of her litter but she's got the best personality I've seen in a cat. She was being eaten by mites and I couldn't leave her with those awful people. Her dad is also her brother.

Oh, how cool that you have catnip growing in your yard! I have a little pot of it growing indoors, but never thought to actually plant it! Sooo cute!!!!
