Best thing / Worst thing about your pet

I know we all love our pets and accept them unconditionally but most of us must admit there is probably something we that drives us nuts .

So .... what do you love most about your pet? and what one thing would you change if you could?

Me first .

Riley - black labrador almost five years old. His best thing is his ability to make me laugh with his absolute enthusiasm for life. His worst thing is his over-the-top ball obsession combined with his refusal to give up the ball when requested .

Desi - 11 year old tortoiseshell cat. Her best thing is that she is very social and is always sitting next to one of us. Her worst thing ..... she has that lovely "tortitude" thing .

Fred - 9 year old Maine Coone mix cat. His best thing is that he is so very "dog like" and is therefore the perfect blend for our very "cat like" tortie. His worst thing is that he has a tendancy to poop in inappropriate places (getting much better since adding butternut squash to his meals ).

and to be fair my pets would probably say my worst quality is ........

Riley - Expects me to give her my ball just cause she asks .

Desi - Expects me to cuddle her at her every whim even if I am having a princess moment .

Fred - She doesn't clean the litterbox every 30 minutes and doesn't share enough of her popcorn with me .

Oh fun! Let me see...

Sparks (calico kitty). Best thing: she loves absolutely everyone, a true ambassador for kitties everywhere. Worst thing: she's not so bright this one (honestly, dumb as a post - blond, blond, blond).

Yeti ( himalayan kitty). Best thing: himi love! Follows me everywhere. Devoted to the end. Worst thing: follows me everywhere - he's SO going to get stepped on one day - that, and the ever present "opinions" I hear about all day long!

Pepin (dwarf bunny). Best thing: binkies! They're sort of like zoomies but with aerials. Worst thing: digging in the hay basket and firing it half way cross the room with a close second being chewing the hems off of all my pants.

And I would't have them any other way!

Oops! Forgot Jollup (Senegal parrot). Best thing: his imitation skills - doorbells, cell phones, cats, dogs, chickens, the kettle whistling, car horns, sirens, squeaky hinges... Worst thing: several years ago he decided he liked my husband better and now I can't handle him at all anymore without loss of blood. But, he chats and whistles at me all the time so we still enjoy each other's company - just from opposite sides of the cage bars!

best - super friendly, loves people and dogs, keeps me active

worst - way too overzealous, gets out wound up and out of control...doesnt know not everyone wants an 85 pound dog jumping around them and "woooooo"-ing in their face

Jasper: Best: Most loving kitty with no aggression, even to the chipmuncks
Worst: He meows and meows and meows and meows and meows, you get the picture

Rose: Best: Such an innocent kitty who is still amazed that humans are actually cat slaves
Worse: Nothing yet

Puddles: Best: Very gentle
Worse: she wants to be picked up at 3AM and meows (gently of course) until we do.

Sweet Pea: Best: Just loves to be cuddled
Worse: She hates Puddles and won't give up stalking her . It's been years

Leo's best attributes are his calmness and responsiveness, his reserved enthusiasm, he occasional excitement and the funny looks he gives

Worst attributes, he is hard to make enthusiastic and convince to play, he no longer retrieves and wants us to chase him for the ball instead, his chasing cats, sometimes he prefers to follow his nose...

Skitter- best: loves to cuddle with me
worst: growls and gets all funny with another cat, (but I know that is normal)

Doola- best: the most loving cat, I have ever met. Loves everyone and everybody, doesn't hiss and go on with other cats, just wants to let you know, that she is there for them.
worst: tries to run out the door whenever, someone comes in, but we are working on that

Missy- I can't really go with much here, since I am just still getting to know here but she is extremely lovable and last night, she decided to jump on my bed and purr and headbutt and meow in my face all night. At least I know she is fitting in

I thought about doing that but it would take up the better part of a page if I did. I have to work very shortly. No way I have time. We'll see about later.

Meiko- ignores english seeing as though he is my mans dog and was raised french... he knows what I'm saying *shakes fist
- Very smart dog and has impecable recall

Kita- Can peel paint off the walls with her gas at times ( really cant think of anything else that bothers me about her)
- Best dog that ever walked this planet I swear

Karma- Garbage hound
- Amazingly responsive to obedience training and almost title ready (fingers crossed this summer)

Tibby- Barks for the sake of hearing her own voice
- Takes after her momma and is also very responsive to training, very cuddly as well.

Marv- Nail trimming time is a huge wrestling match all the time
- Big goof

Mr.Floyd- Clingy
- Clingy

Miss Mia- Complete opposite of Floyd
- Very affectionate on her terms

Orange Cat- Demanding, middle of the night he decides he wants something and just screams for it
- Excellent at rodent control

Miss Fe- Total brat, riding her is always and adventure as she seems to think up ways to push your buttons and loves getting reactions from you
- Very sane and sound mount who is super affectionate and loving on the ground

Calvin- Bad ground manners, but in his mid 20's so its who he is now
- Excellent confidence booster and safe enough for a child to ride despite his size

Viggo- Still so scared of everything
- Very young still to say but has amazing movement and conformation and is a real playful little guy who is most likely going to be extremely gentle once he gets over some of his fears

I think thats all of them

This could be very interesting lol!

Duster - cat - Good: She is extremely affectionate and loves everyone. Bad: Shes a drooler.

Polara - cat - Good: She is quiet and also very affectionate. Bad: She follows me into the bathroom and while I try to pee she claws my legs to be pet...

Dolly - dog - Good: She is very sweet, and is always excited to see me when I get home. And, she LOVES babies, she melts around babies. Bad: She is a horrible counter surfer and she eats underwear.

Maggie - dog - Good: Shes low energy. Bad: She cries everytime my fiance leaves the house.

Pearl - cat - Good: Shes very sweet and shes quiet. Bad: nothing yet, she just came home yesterday lol.

Good topic! :)

This is an interesting topic, I like it!

Diesel
Best attributes - Is so goofy he's incredibly endearing, loves everybody, just an overall sweetheart, great with kids

Worst attributes - Is so clumsy/unaware of his size he regularly steamrolls his mom or the other furbutts , cries/whines/grunts non-stop when his dad isn't around

Brynn
Best attributes - Is quiet, generally very mellow, always happy, a little queen, adores small children

Worst attribute - Has the odd moment when she wants to kill another dog (but is getting better)

Sassy
Best attributes - Always has a smile, a sweetheart, gets along with everyone - including cats!

Worst attributes - Is a worrier to her own demise, hates change, is an instigator and routinally enjoys getting the other dogs in trouble then tattling on them (it's quite funny really - this could be a good attribute )

Furby
Best attributes - Loves to cuddle, very easygoing

Worst attributes - Not great with kids/other dogs, likes to pee/poop in the house once in awhile to show his dissatisfaction with us

Harley his worst thing is his over compensating fear I get you before you get me with other dogs
He is the most cuddly dog and a mamma's boy, he reads my emotions extremely well, and even was able to detect that I was having a seisure and stayed beside me whole time, allowed me to use him to get up..... Best dog ever...

Mercy - Nose on the ground all times looking for food
She has come out of her shell and is 80% at recall ( a dog with trust issue ) that is amazing

Chopper his late night attack antics to poor missy
_ his undying affection towards kayla

Missy ; Honestly there is not one bad thing I can say about this cat, she is the most affectionate creature I have ever met, towards my family as well as the dogs..

Baxter - best - has a very sweet temperment and is always very happy.
worst - he's a whiner and suffers from SA
Bentley - best - he's a real cuddler. Very active, always on the move.
worst - he's a barker. Doesn't know when to stop barking.
Squeakie - best - she's truly beautiful. Loves attention. A real princess.
worst - little tolerance for other cats incuding her own sister.
Mookie - best - sweetest cat I've ever had. Very talkative.
worst - her coat is a nightmare to take care of. She matts constantly. She's also a little bowling ball. Keeping her calorie intake down is very hard.
Gabby - best - she thinks she's a dog. Loves the dogs. Follows you everywhere.
worst - she's always underfoot, ha, ha. She loves to try to sneak up to the cockatiel as well.
Frank - best - he's always muttering and chuckling. A happy go lucky bird.
worst - he hates me, ha, ha. Loves DH but not me. He's also very old now and falls off his perch at least once a day. Sad to see him getting so frail.

Best - he's a snuggle-bug who loves absolutely everyone (except boxers!)
Worst - he's a very intelligent little bugger who's always plotting ways to get what he wants (total terrierist)

My best - I take him to the park every day to play fetch
My worst - some times, during the day, I actually stop playing fetch!

Best.- She's very clean, she brings a ball in her mouth and drops it at the entrance of the room when she's hungry. Likes to lie down on my belly <3
Worst.- She's easily annoyed and pukey Extremely picky with food.

Mulder: (female... Yes I know... Cat)

Best.- Playful, likes everything, likes to be held, clean, loving, follows me around everywhere <3
Worst.- She gets way to crazy sometimes jumps on deskstops, laptops, shelves and on Scully.

Mac (hound cross dog):
Best: friendly as can be, loves everyone, nothing bothers him
Worst: doesn't come when I call him (outside), particularly when there is something interesting to urinate on

Persie (evil female cat):

Best: Beautiful and utterly devoted to me
Worst: The purest of evil--hates everyone except for me, refuses to get along with any other animals

KiKi (fat tabby kitty):

Best: loves to snuggle/total lap cat
Worst: shaped like a watermelon that is about to burst, which is very adorable but not good for her health

Ivan (younger grey male cat):
Best: Extremely Affectionate
Worst: Affection can be too much sometimes (even the dog thinks so!); also he torments the evil kitty and they have to be separated.

This is a great thread!

Bayley - Best - She's very good with my Mom and that's a good thing especially when I'm not home and Mom has to put her on her tie out. She sits very politely and waits for her to clip her on. She's also very good with her kitties, even Noella.

Worst - Absolutely loves to steal the cats' toys. Sometimes likes to totally tune me out!

Bobee oldest cat - Best - he's a real lovey kitty, always knows when you're not feeling well and will come and snuggle and keep you warm.

Worst - Likes to pick fights with Nino, just lots of noise but it can get annoying especially when Nino lets out one of his Bobcat screams! Also loves trying to open the back porch door!

Coco - Best - He's extremely mellow and easy going, doesn't ask for much.

Worst - He likes to pee on anything that Bayley has, especially her bed when she had one, which is why she doesn't have one anymore Also hates to be brushed and will yell like I'm pulling his hair out by the roots one at a time!

Nino - Best - He's absolutely gorgeous! He's coming out of his shell, still. Gives great lovies, although I'm surprised I don't have bruises from his heavy duty kneading!

Worst - His Bobcat style scream when he gets mad at Bobee..good lord, the first time I heard it, scared the caca right out of me!!

Noella - Best - well she's a kitten, she's learned her name! Can pretty much hold her own against Bobee.

Worst - She's so bloody persistent!! Has her day and night screwed up! But she's sooo funny!

I never thought I'd have this many critters

Brina, the best, just about everything about her, how she allows the daycare children to use her as a raceway for their hotwheels, how she's so friendly, how she behaved so wonderfully in her commercial, how she helps pups and any wildlife we bring into the house, her puppy ways and the way she cuddles up to me.

her worse *L* wow, the list could be as long, her drooling, how she is too super friendly (had to quit agility because each new judge that sat down ended up with Brina on their lap) how she catches live mice and gently carries them INTO the house but most of all, her "talking" back whenever company is over....drives you to distraction which is her aim.

Timothy (chinchilla) his best, how he holds the daycare childrens finger and rubs his face against them. his comical bouncing off the walls when he's out playing.

his worse, how he barks and barks till Brina goes in to see him and then he rushes his cage to scare her when she gets up close!

Okay, here goes my gang:

Vlad:
Best-Mr Social butterfly. Official greeter and anythingnew inspector.
Worst-Constantly annoys Oksana to the point where she has anxiety issues and has to be medicated on a regular basis.

Oksana:
Best-Incredibly good about having her medicine given to her. Beautiful soft fur. Quiet dainty girl.
Worst-An absolute terror when you try clipping her nails. I now have to take her to the vet and have them do it. It's a two man job with her.

Maks:
Best-Friendliest little guy. Loving, purr machine. Wants to be friends with the others, never so much as heard him hiss or growl.
Worst-VERY skittish. Insists on rubbing his face on everything and likes to pee standing up.

Kiska:
Best-Sweet girl. First to meet me at the door. Loves standing on my lap and making biscuits.
Worst-Moews alllllllllllllllllllll the time.

Czari:
Best-Cuddle monster. Loves to cuddle and has to sleep next to me. Coos instead of meowing.
Worst-Short fuse.

Lady, Cocker Spaniel: Best, makes it impossible to be sad or mad when you take her for a walk. She just loves the outdoors and will run ahead with one ear flung over the back of her head and then run back to you with her tounge hanging out sideways of the silliest doggy grin you have ever seen. Worst, her fur. There's way too much of it, it's not water resistant (she's a water dog for G*d's sake!) and has to be constantly clipped around the face and paws or it's completely unmanageable.

Crush, DLH cat: Best, will let you do ANYTHING to him. He's been dressed in doll clothes, used as a book stand while cuddling, turned upsidedown, had medicine shoved down his throat 3 times a day for 10 days and the worst thing he's ever done is accidentally scratched me while trying to push my hand away. And then he looked at me with the bigges "I'm so sorry" cat eyes you've ever seen. Worst, again the fur. He was a rescue so I had to teach him how to groom himself and he's never quite gotten the hang of it. He frequently comes in with slugs imbedded in his fur, not to mention burs, pine needles and twigs.

Tucker best: super smart knows tons on tricks and commands. He can be so sweet and snuggles with his momma lots and lots..
worst: jumps on company when they come to visit he just wants to them, and he isn't that great with little children when they run and scream must round up those little sheep...He also doesn't like me giving him commands sometimes and figures if he shows teeth he will get away with it NOT Oh yeah and the 8 inch ass hair
Cali best: she is small and cute
worst: hairballs
Marty best: he is a big snuggle bum
worst: black fur every where, and is a swiffer, also a piggy and will tell everyone he has not been fed.
