Puppy born to mother with pneumonia

Hi. I'm purchasing a puppy from a breeder and the puppy's mother had pneumonia when giving birth. Going on the assumption they properly cared for the mother (the mother and puppies seem fine), would there be any expected short/long term effects on the puppy? I'm a little out of my element in this stuff so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi, Dan. Welcome to the board.

Have you talked to your vet? He or she might be able to give you an idea of what to expect. The breeder should also be able to give you the name of the vet that's been caring for the dam and you may be able to get some information there, as well.
