Bouvier's odd behavior......
I have a Bouvier that I rescued from the Humane Society. I've had her about a year and lately she lays down with her nose/head facing the wall. It seems as though she's trying to tell me something, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

This is pure speculation and without a Vulcan mind meld, this and all the other responses will be as well.
She may have found this was a good way to reduce stimulus and thus achieve some peace. She likes the wall? It's not dangerous and she's not injuring himself, leave and learn to love this personality quirk. |

I would have to agree with Beauceron, but if you still feel worried i would contact someone that has been rescueing these breeds for a long time and ask the same question.

My first thought was that you have mice. Definitely a possibility at this time of year, they can squeeze through the tiniest holes to get to the warmth. He could be hearing them run through the walls.

My dog does that too, but it's in front of our gas fireplace, and we believe he does it because he can hear everything that's going on outside through the vent. He hears the kids, and the car when it comes and goes.
