Need some human prayers please

My daughter's best friends father complained of a sore/swollen leg on Saturday evening and tonight, he is on life support being transferred to a hospital in Toronto. He has Sclerosis of the liver and his vital organs are in the process of shutting down.

What makes this really sad is her best friend is 19 and has a younger sister 15 years of age. They lost their mother (and dad's forever loving wife) 2 years ago to cancer.

Tonight my daughter's friend brought her younger sister to our house to spend the night. While we've never met her friends little sister, she's such a sweet little thing who seems so lost. It truly brings a tear to my eye and a knot in my heart.

We're hoping that they're father will battle this but I'm thinking that the inevitable is just a matter of time.

Please send some and

This just breaks my heart.

Well the youngest one has had a tough go with it. She got caught up with the wrong crowd and her big sister and grandparents felt more comfortable leaving her in a stable enviroment.

Hubby & I told my daughter's friend and her grandparents that she can stay here for as long as necessary which made her and her father's parents, more comfortable.

A truly sad situation.

A blood transfusion was performed however; he is now on life support.

Youngest one is with us again this evening but we made the best of it and cooked up some homemade tacos for dinner then I sat and stomached Glee with the girls! It actually wasn't that bad and rather amusing, both tacos and Glee!

We're hoping and praying for a miracle for these two sweet girls.

Thank you HGM and LP for your kind thoughts and prayers.

We're just trying to keep up the littles ones spirits through all of this. I want to think that we are good people as far as taking the little one in but, it really saddens my heart that their family has become few and far between.

Hubby and I haven't said a word to each other about how long the youngest daughter will stay here. It's just not in our vocabulary.

It is with a heavy heart to advise that these two beautiful girls' father passed away today.

It's been a long week and we're still embracing the girls with lots of love and prayers.

R.I.P. Mark You we're a great person, wonderful father and will be truly missed. You can now embrace your forever love and wife, Patty again.

Thank you everyone. It's been so very sad. The only close family the girls have is their father's sister and his parents (grandma and grandpa). Their mother and her parents have all passed away.

Fortunately for the girls, they have a strong bond with their aunt and his parents but I have given the youngest one my cell number to call me anytime and we'll be there for her.

The oldest one (which is my daughter's best friend) is 19 and moved to away last year to attend University. She's still very confused and wanting to make sure her little sister stays on the right path but is uncertain as far as what lies in their futures.

Still sets a big lump in my throat.

This is just horrible for those girls. Loosing both parents at such a young age has got to be just devastating for them. I am worried about the youngest and I hope the parents seek counselling for her to help her express her feelings through positive manners rather than anger and turning towards drugs to help her feel better .

We will be seeing the girls and family tomorrow with the funeral on Tuesday.

I've been told that they will be listing their childhood home on the market soon while living at their grandparents and the sell of the house will go intrust to the girls.

The funeral was today and was a beautiful service. My daughter and I embraced both of them with a ginormous and said that we'll always be there for them.

I would really like to keep the lines of communication open with the oldest one (my daughter's best friend) to make sure her little sister is doing o.k. but not sure if I would be interfering though.

My heart goes out to these girls.

I don't think it would be interfering, klm. Kids at that age after that kind of loss can never have too many sympathetic ears... And if she's willing, you might be of help when they need guidance! So certainly make the offer. You're such a kind person
