Rolling behaviour

Hi everyone.

Love the forum. So much knowledge here.

My new puppy always rolls in the grass, apparently over the urine of other dogs. She smells and requires frequent baths

advice would be helpful

Ha! Wait till she discovers the joy of rolling in dead frogs, horse poop and the absolute worst, IMO, human excrement. If she's really smart she'll figure out if she rolls first there still might be enough left to eat.

Rolling is not bad behaviour. Best thing to do is try to find grass that has not been pee'd on. Easy for me but if you live in a city and have only dog parks to go to it might be tricky.

Some baby or dog wipes might help. A wipe down with either vinegar or listerine mouthwash cut 50/50 with water might help. If she's really bad, well, I always do like to give puppy a bath while she's still small enough for me to handle her easily. But too many baths may not be good for skin or coat.
