Hi from British Columbia

Hi, from Golden BC Canada.
We live at the base of a mountain, in the country and am a mom of 4 grown kids, one special needs adult who lives with us.
We have a small acreage, and breed silkies and muscovy ducks.
In the past I have had a great dane, sheltie, rough collie, all who died of old age.
My great dane and sheltie had a C.D. title on them.
Currently I own a black lab, who will be 14 in July, and going down hill fast.
I have a 7 yr old female bernese mountain dog who is in great health, no issues.
I just put a deposit on a male leonburger, coming end of april/14.
I have 3 cats, one is a purebred mainecoon who is 3, born with an enlarged heart and narrow nasal passages.
I have 2 aquariums.
I love taking my dogs to dog obeidance, but only put a title on 2 dogs as after that I concentrated on my son who has had cancer a couple of times. Also has a severe sz disorder. I have also taught dog obeidance a few times.

Welcome to the board, runningbeat! You certainly have a full life!! Sorry to hear about your son--also your labby.

If you get a moment in your busy day, we LOVE pics of furbabies! So if you have some to share with us, we'd love to see them!

Welcome, runningbeat. I wish your son the best, if only you could say the same about him as you do the Bernese - no issues. It's a lot for both of you to cope with. Clever you, putting a CD on a Great Dane. My sister and I have shelties and while I showed mine my sister trials hers, they're a natural for trialling really. I'm trying to get my ACD up to trial standard, I've never put an obedience title on a dog, only Ch titles. Doubt if I'll succeed . I hope you will post photo's of the Leonberger later, but all your animals of course.

Hi, runningbeat!

I've been through Golden and it's one of Canada's most gorgeous areas.

I am so sorry for your losses, and sorry to hear that your elderly dog is not doing well. You certainly have a full plate, don't you?
