Hi from 2sheltiesmom (plus1BCX)

Thank you Frenchy for the great suggestion So now that I have finally got some pix of my gang posted please check out the album and leave comments or PM if you like.
My 2 Shelties are Sophie and Bobby, and our newest pack member is Lily who is a Border Collie cross that we rescued from euthanasia Jan. 29th, 2010.
I'm still learning to use all the cool things on this site!

Pardon the ignorance but where do I find your album, please? I feel like saying you show me your Bobby and I'll show you mine, though his name is shortened to Bo - photo's of my shelties are somewhere in the introductions I think. Nice to come accross another sheltie owner.

You can get to the OP's albums through her profile, Goldfields.

2sheltiesmom, lovely dogs you have there. I am envious of the coat on your tricolour, dogs from colder countries often have better coats than we do here, and the shaded sable's ears are so well tipped over. I had a real battle getting ears right for showing so was glad when I retired the dogs and could let those ears do their own thing. LOL.

What sweet looking pups you have

My brother just got a sheltie puppy. He's called the little guy "Radar" because one ear sticks up and one lays flat, apparently. Hahah. I can't wait to go home to meet him this summer, though I hear that Shelties have a lot of energy? Maybe Radar will help tire out my little monsters!

Let's put it this way, serenamlambe, as a pup we nicknamed Toby the energiser bunny after an advertisement on TV about, naturally, the energiser bunny, which goes, and goes and goes, powered by Energiser batteries. A pink stuffed rabbit that from memory was climbing a mountain. Toby as a pup just never stopped, so your brother will be dizzy just watching which way Radar went.

Hahaha, maybe my brother will need a radar system to keep track of the little guy!

Thanks, they are not normally "water dogs", but Bobby had an injury and we decided to try the Hydratherapy for rehab. When Sophie was about 6 months old we were walking her at the lake and had her on a extendable leash, when she jumped into the water after some ducks! Her daddy was about to jump in when she turned and swam back (phew)

Thanks, I'm glad I followed your suggestion. I have a "soft spot" for Lily too... and then there were 3!

Thanks Goldfields, I think you are the first person to recognize my Sophie as a "Shaded Sable"! Bobby and his thick coat, OMG, when I had a good groomer I had to pay extra for him, right now I'm doing it myself which is a real work-out for both of us! He has a lot of nicknames, Bo, Bodhi, Baboo etc. He started out as Lovebug as he was 3.1 lbs. when I brought him home at 10 wks.

Thanks, Shelties are definitely high energy dogs. I used to do Agility with Bobby and my 2 that have passed over the Rainbow Bridge. They need the challenge mentally and physically as Shelties will get "squirelly" if left alone all day and put on weight easily. Hope you will post some pictures of Radar.
