A Truly Canadian Poem

A Truly Canadian Poem

It's winter now in Canada
And the northern breezes blow
At seventy miles an hour
And at 30C below

Oh, how I love Canada
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut

Yes, the winter here is wonderful
I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Canada
Cuz I'm frozen to the ground !!!

That's funny - we like to promote the image that we live in Igloo's and travel by dog sled (well yeah some of us here do travel that way!)

Forgot that we travel around in snow shoes DD!

Personally, I don't mind the cold, but I truly miss the absence of warmth!

I would love some snow for Christmas. Its a little odd that in our city, Corona's ads have a decorated palm tree on a pretty beach where people are still wearing swimwear.

Housing Swap!

We had flurries last week at about 11pm. Wouldn't know it other than the fact that you could hear them on the metal awning at less than rainfall speeds. The next day it was 50 farenheit. So much for that.
