only found a handful

of dog food that does NOT contain chicken fat

Does anyone know of any others??

Does the Orijen Red Meat formula contain chicken fat? I didn't think so... hmmm let me look.

Fresh deboned wild boar, fresh deboned lamb, lamb meal, russet potato, fresh deboned pork, peas, salmon meal, whitefish meal*, herring meal, fresh deboned bison, fresh whole eggs, potato starch, fresh deboned salmon (a natural source of DHA and EPA), alfalfa, sweet potato, fresh deboned walleye, salmon oil (naturally preserved with vitamin E), pea fiber, psyllium, pumpkin, tomatoes, carrots, apples, cranberries, Saskatoon berries, black currants, chicory root, licorice root, angelica root, fenugreek, marigold flowers, sweet fennel, peppermint leaf, chamomile flowers, dandelion, summer savory, rosemary, organic kelp, vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, niacin, zinc proteinate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, vitamin B5, iron proteinate, vitamin B6, manganese proteinate, copper proteinate, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12, selenium, dried Lactobacillus acidophilus product, dried Enterococcus faecium fermentation product.

Neitheir does their 6-fish:

no the red meat one doesn't ,
but does have pork in it that Bree can't have

I forgot about the fish one

Breeze check out

Canadie and Merrick..it looks like they have a few kinds that use canola oil rather than chicken fat. Mostly the fish ones. Merrick had Turducken! looked different.

Are you trying to avoid chicken fat for an allergy OR just trying to avoid chicken fat as a fat source in general?


These are grain inclusive but chicken fat free:
Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal
Go! Natural Duck formula
Fromm Duck A La Sweet Potato
Fromm WhiteFish and Potato
Fromm Salmon A La Veg

We believe that Bree can't tolerate the chicken fat in the kibble along with some other ingredience.

after spending most of last night and this morning in the dog food place I have found some other kibble ( not on our list) that is grain free, AND without chicken fat. *happy dance*

some of the companies have changed there formals and now is using Canola oil instead of chicken fat!! YAY!!!!!! ( I think most companies should do this JMO)
