Spinach

We buy frozen leaf spinach on a regular basis and was going to start giving some to the dogs.

Does anyone else feed spinach to their dogs.?

If I have some on hand, sure I feed them spinach. Leafy greens are healthy for dogs, and a bit of spinach here and there in moderation is an excellent way to vary the diet and add extra vitamins etc.

Good idea Angeldogs!
I would be sure to give it in small amounts though, especially in the beginning. Too much may cause the runs - but it probably depends on the dog and you know yours best.

I know jag will eat it as he is a food hound.. We love our spinach around here and the food hound shows an interest in it.

As already said, only feed it in small amounts and not often as it contains oxalic acid which affects calcium requirements in the body.
