Kitten kindergarten: Regina woman helps pet owners train their cats

Quite an interesting read and listen if you have a few minutes.

That stuff about playing before feeding them--we do that with JD for two of his three meals (breakfast he gets without having to wait for it)--and we didn't even know we were doing a good thing! I've never used the clicker with him--something new to try!

Some 15 or more years ago in the town we lived in, "clicker training" seemed to be the "in thing" for a short while. Those enthused with it seemed to be having good luck with training their dogs and cats.

I hadn't heard of playing with the cats before feeding them, but it sounds like a good idea.
