Hi, here is my short update- have tried to contact (with number) but either busy or no reply (I have it seems bad timing). I did give Winston my cell no. (which I almost NEVER give to anyone but am getting somewhat frantic here) so cross your fingers!! And send some vibes for the kitties!

Thanks!! I think I just miss him or something. Sigh! However, I am ever hopeful! If I cannot adopt them, I WILL find them a good home- with Siamese Rescue's help - the group has such great resources to assess homes and no cat goes to a home without a vet check, help if needed and lots of care and investigation! )ie, no cats allowed outside, no declawing. lots of rules that are helpful to cats)

14+ I hope so to! that would be sooo wonderful...my only worry is the distance? and I hope CK can get in touch with them cause I was really surprised that no on had snatched them up already??

No Growler I wish I could...We are still trying to establish contact with them from CK's end...I made the origional call before posting my thread and they were still there but CK has not been able to reach them as far as I know she is getting a busy signal or no answer?? ....I will help whatever way I can..

Hey Frenchy just waiting for word from Ck..she mentioned she has friends at McMaster University that would help but we will have to wait to hear back from CK? I hope she has been able to contact them!

Hi there,

Thx for all your help Cindy! I did finally get through - to a machine and left many numbers but no response. I did mention I was from Nova Scotia so perhaps they are concerned about the distance? I emphasized this was not an impediment for me and I would either get there myself or have help, probably the latter. The fact is tho it would be almost impossible for me to get there but I did not want to scare them right away - is it possible they want to adopt them to someone from closer to home?

I too am incredulous no one has snapped up these beauties and even if we cannot take them forever (tho I really want to but I have to be realistic and consider whether six cats is doable for us) , I do know so many in Siamese rescue who would give them superb homes, equal to mine or close anyway, lol

So, I await his call and will also try again.

Thanks everyone for the vibes and W for the help!!!!! It means a lot.

Had to add- I also have very close relatives in Niagara Falls who can also help. One of them runs the casino hotel and also have friends in Toronto. And a cousin there too who has a house and I am sure would care for them until I got there (His sister is the nurse who works for the vet and he loves cats!)

I would not have imagined this could be so difficult but just ,maybe they are debating amg themselves whether they want their babies to go out of province??? One never knows.

Cyberkitten I think he will call you back! This is the long weekend and maybe they are busy! I did mention you were from down east and he did not say anything...I also mentioned that you had friends in the area to assist with transportation..he mentioned to me that they have there own traveling crates too!

The origional email came from someone within the area police dept and it has been carefully distributed from what I understand! Thats one of the reasons I called the person last week was to see if they were still up for adoption so that he doesnt have his phone number plasted all over the net!

We can post a thread for transportation if needed and I am sure you will get lots of help!

Heck CK i know you just had a honeymoon but summers here! could you come to Hamilton for vacation?? Let me know if I can help?

Growler I only made the initial call on my return to work which was over a week before I called and the email went out....All I wanted to do was confirm they were available before giving out his phone number..you know so that a million people arent calling you! he returned my call same day...I inquired and told him I knew someone interested in them and that they would call him personally...thats it really...I am thinking its just timing here! CK is busy and I am sure they are too! its the long weekend! I hope we here something once everyone returns to work!

CK knows too that I would be happy to help her out..I just cant really bring them home..and with the distance they need to travel CK has to make some plans...so its wait and see...
