Flea tick question - Answered by Dr. Van Lienden

This time of year, we give the cats their monthly flea and tick stuff (Advantage). It's never bothered them before, but if you'll remember, one of our cats just had a bad vaccine reaction (lumps!!). I plan to call the vet on Monday to ask whether or not it's safe to put chemicals on her while the lumps are still going away. Any thoughtS?

If the bump does not drain, is not an open lesion or some kind of surgery is not contemplated to biopsy/remove the bump, then I don't see a contraindication to using a monthly repellent.
