dog played to hard
i am in mexico and no where near a vet..yesterday my black lab adopted some people down the beach and did as he always does..chased a stick untill i called him off and put him inside..went to have a nap and heard him shreaking as he escaped and made it back to the ppl to play some more..i got up and called him in again and locked the door this time..this morning he was hard of breath..been that way all day..no food or water.. shallow breaths seems to be in pain..popped an antibiotic in him and an apirin an hour later..hes gettin worse..does not seem to have a temperature..lots of grunting..hes 7 years old

Unfortunately, this isn't something you can get diagnosed over the internet. Very few of our members are vets so if he worsens, you need to find a vet quickly.
When you say 'hard of breath' do you mean he's having trouble catching a breath, as well, or just as if in pain? If he's just in pain, he maybe overdid it yesterday enough to be super-stiff and will recover with time and rest. If he's having trouble moving air, though, it's much more serious and could be almost anything--from having aspirated water at the beach, to a twisted gut, to something unrelated that is just coincidentally flaring up. It's especially troubling that he's taking no food or water. Has he been outside? Is he peeing and pooping normally?
