Lost seal point Siamese - Siamois "seal point" perdu - Pierrefonds, QC.

Have you postered the neighbourhood incl all nearby vets, groomers, grocery stores, schools? SPCA contacted as well?

Try leaving a recently worn but un-washed tshirt or pair of smelly shoes out on the porch/deck/stairs to help guide him via smell back home. Or his bed/blanket or litterbox left outside.

Go out at dawn/dusk to call for him as those are more calmer/quieter times where he should be less scared by cars/people etc. Have you a smelly treat he can't resist, take that out with you or tap his food dish or the can of food.

for him coming home soon he is gorgeous

Hubert is a beautiful boy.

Thanks for your so warm reply!

We really are devastated as we are a couple of almost elderly people (I'm 68 and my wife 57) and we consider him as a son. Even if I already have had six children!

We have another cat (Archibald, a Tonkinese). We usually say that at home we are four. Three persons: my wife, I and Hubert and a cat: Archibald.

We already put almost 70 flyers in our neighbors' mailboxes and today I planned to stick color flyers on trees, fences and road post in the neighborhood.

Every time I go on the deck to have a smoke (too often) I call him, day and night and... start crying! Me, a "he-man"!

Thank you for your advices, specially about worn clothes and litter.
About the vet and the stores this planned to be done today.

You're a very kind person. Again: Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Gerard

Thank you so much to be so warm and full of compassion about our pain.
Thanks also for your wishes.

Hubert's nickname is "Brummel". He is the playboy of our neighborhood...

Hubert is so smart... We have real conversations with him. When he responds to our questions with such an appropriate tone, it must not be a random sound. It's really a reply often followed by an action.
Most common people to whom I tell about this behavior seem to be very skeptical but if you ever lived with a smart siamese you'll for sure understand what I mean.

I'm missing his weight on my shoulders...

I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful Hubert. Don't give up hope, kitties have found their way home after a month of being missing.

Have you asked your neighbours if you can check their backyards? Your kitty may be too afraid to come out for strangers.

Good luck and keep us posted.

We live in Bois-des-Trottier street.
You can googlemap H8Z 3B1 to find the correct location.
It's quite a bit far from your home but, who knows, Hubert is such an athlete and an accomplished jogger !

Thanks for your kind help !

Thanks to be so warm with us.

We already put flyers in our immediate neighbor's mailboxes and this morning I'll display little color posters on trees and road signs posts.

I don't give up hope because fifteen years ago we lost a wonderful Maine Coon for more than three months!!!!! He came back home and retrieved his habits almost instantaneously just as he would have been far away for only a few hours...

Cats are very mysterious persons, indeed...

Make sure you also contact your SPCA and Animal Control, if you haven't already. Go down in person at least every three days to make sure he isn't there. that Hubert comes back soon.

Thanks for your advices.
I already contacted the SCPA but they haven't seen him.

Here is a photo of my favorite philosopher while he was meditating on the deck last summer...

Oh Providence, bring him back to us!

I am so so sorry to hear about your darling cat. I can only imagine how upset you both must be.

GO to the SPCA...there are so many cats there they would have no idea, really.

Also, Call 450 510-1508 Centre Canin du Suroit...that is animal control for Pierrefonds. Actually, GO there too...these places are so overburdened there is no way they can know for sure what cats are there.

I will keep my eyes and ears open for any info. I too live in Pierrefonds but the other end of town.
Good luck

Contact vet clinics close to you. Sometimes people will bring to them, they will hold and then forward to the pound if not reclaimed.

Best of luck to you.

What a great job you did on the poster ....it is sure to catch people's attention.

As mentioned, please go to the shelters every couple of days as they get so overwhelmed with cats that they are not reliable enough to just check by phone ....you must look at the cats yourself.

Best of luck to you.

Thanks for enquiring!

Alas! No.
Only a vain joy:
A woman called me this morning and told she saw a siamese on the hood of a car three blocks far from our home.
I rushed to verify but it wasn't Hubert... only a lovely little siamese female very young and very shy. Not exactly what Hubert is...

We still hope, Eve and I for our "prodigy son"...

Tuesday, November 17, 01:50PM = Hubert is back !!!

Could you imagine how happy the family is?

Hubert was trapped under the floor in a house very next to ours which is being renovated.
Fifteen days without any food or water!
Hubert seems to be in good shape which the vet should confirm tomorrow.

The funny side of the story is that we now have three cats as last week we bought a six months old blue point siamese whose name is Tryphon.

Family photos will be posted soon. Stay connected!

We wish to thank you all for your support!

Best regards and great meows from Hubert!

Thanks for sharing our happiness!

The neighbor next door called me on the phone this afternoon and told me he saw a cat in his house which, as I previously said is in major renovation.

I went to the house bringing some tuna in Hubert's favorite plates which make a very special sound, a sound he for sure will recognize. I finally found him in the space between the first floor and the basement ceiling. He came close to me so I could catch him easily.

Well... There it is...
