Question Just Curious....

Wondering how many bowel movements the average 6 month old puppy should have per day???

And what feeding schedules are best for puppies??

Currently, I feed Thai his wet large breed puppy, Lamb and Rice (Nutro) in the morning around 7 30 am. And than at lunch time, I put down the large breed puppy lamb and rice kibble (Nutro again). He gets 1/3 of a can of the wet food per day. And approx. 1 1/2 to 2 cups of kibble per day. Is this sufficient?? And is this the best way to feed, wet in the morning and dry the rest of the day??

He usually has a bowel movement first thing in the morning on our walk, which is around 8 am. We go for another walk around 2 pm, just has a pee. And in the evening around 6 pm we go for a walk again, and sometimes there is a bowel movement but most times not. And at 7 pm when we go to the Dog Park, he has many many pees, and most time another bowel movement. And than we go for our last walk at 11 30 pm and there is never a bowel movement. Is this normal, and or, ok???

When we adopted him he was 26lbs and 4 1/2 months. He is now 6 months and 1 week, and he is 34lbs.

I appreciate your input. Thanks

Hi Thai, I have a 9 month shepherd, she generally goes twice before 8 am, once around 3 pm then sometimes (not every night) around 9 pm. From then on, she'll sleep through the night. She is on large breed science diet.
