Talking New Member :)

Hello! My name is Aimee I am a 21 year old education major who has just recently adopted her first dog, outside of family pets I have grown up with. While I have always grown up with dogs and training them (my dad bred and trained retrievers when I was younger) I find that doing things on my own is much different.

Brady my finances and I's newest addition. He is roughly 8 months old, our vet had to guess and we would guess a mix between a Weimaraner/Lab and a terrier or sent hound of some kind as his nose never leaves the ground. We found Brady in a horrible run down shelter 3 hours from our home. He was surrendered to the shelter after supposedly biting a neighbor. After meeting him though its impossible to think he'd hurt anything other than a wild rabbit. He was scheduled to be put down three days after we found him. We decided it was fate but were immediately thrown into health problems. Ranging from a scrotal hematoma to parasites to kennel sores from his inability to move inside his kennel at the shelter. He thinks we are angels but he is the true blessing and has so much trust and love to give!

He is very cute, and I would not let him run lose as he could pick up an animal sense and take off .

He is a great dog! Even through everything he has adjusted wonderfully to our home and is so happy. He has become quite the cuddle bug though we are having to work on some separation issuses. We would never let him off a leash or lead unless in a secure area that he can't dig under or jump over. We are right now reinforcing our fence so he can play in the yard with out a lead especially since our neighbors behind us breed rabbits though he only shows interest to wild ones and not the domestics we feel it is important not to risk it.
