Do cats get hurt feelings

I was reading an older thread before http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=73608 where someone was concerned about hurting a cat's feelings.

Although cats can obviously feel pain, discomfort and fear - I do not think they get hurt feelings when we push them aside for example when we are too busy to pet them, or remove them from our shoulders when they have climbed on our backs. (It just seems to me that 'hurt feelings' are a human thing, possibly a primate thing as well, but not a cat thing.

Curious to know if people agree?
