A question you probably would never think I would ask......

But uh....... do female cats bleed when they are in heat? You would think I would know crap like this, but I'm sooo confused right now. Amira keeps going into heat & I had an appointment for 2 weeks ago to get her spayed (she is about 5 months but only BARELY weighs 2 pounds)... we had to postpone the spay because that's when she started bleeding out of her face. She is doing much better now but my vet wants me to wait until I finish the 10 days of nose drops (the 10th day will be next friday)... but yeah she keeps going in and out of heat and obviously there is nothing I can do about that at this moment, but I do notice her having little drips of blood near her privates and I'm like WTH I thought that was a dog thing??

Suggestions people!??! maybe it's because she is such a weird breed??? arghhhh!!!! not happy about having to wipe her rear!! oh and also she keeps sticking her butt in the boys faces and they are taking it as an open invitation on her this is awful. i don't know how anyone can live with an unspayed female cat this is HORRIBLE

OH and where are my manners.. here is pics of the little devil from today

her & Mr. Kitten

i gotta mouse!!!

sneakin up on you!

I keep meaning to put something next to her for comparison because the pictures make her look SOOO much bigger than she really is... she stands just about as tall as an average sized bottle of water when she is sitting straight up.

I don't have an answer for you, kathryn, but, I just wanted to say how I love Amira's eyes. What a lovely shade of blue!

Yes kathryn, some cats do bleed during estrous. Because it is not as much as dogs and also because most cats are fastidious at cleaning themselves we don't notice it like we would a dog in heat. She may be bleeding more than normal because of everything else she has gone through lately.

I love the fifth picture of her, where she is kind of looking down. Beautiful little girl. Lucky to be in your home.

tHank you ma'am!!

okay, so the deal is she is not clean at all so like combined with the nakedness i guess that's why i have been noticing it. it's not going all over the place or anything, but i am taking the time to wipe her bum each time I have to feed her or give her the nasal drops.

She is not sneezing up green snot anymore I am happy to announce. She is still kind of a mess but hopefully we can spay her perhaps next Tuesday as I can't take her attitude anymore
