What Am I??
Hey there everyone!
I have a baby boy here named Oliver and I don't have a clue what he is. Every time we go out somewhere we get people asking us all the time and their input of what they believe he may be. We rescued him from the Humane Society when he was between 4-5 months old, and in these pictures he is 15 months. They described him as a "Shepherd Mix". He has DewClaws in both his front and rear paws and his eyes change from a tan/yellow color to greenish/blue. He also weights about 62 lbs. He is very energetic and great with other cats and dogs. He loves going to the dog park and rarely barks unless someone is at the door. He seems like a good protective family dog. If anyone has any ideas, they would be appreciated Here are a few more pictures: http://i29.tinypic.com/14344ch.png http://i28.tinypic.com/35d26w7.png http://i32.tinypic.com/fz43ev.png |

Well Oliver sure is cute. He doesn't look shep to me though. I see Weimeraner maybe. The yellow eyes and very short smooth coat. I don't know, I could be 100 miles off base. Guessing isn't my strong point, but he is lovely. Thank you for rescuing.

He is stunning! He reminds me a lot of a friends dog, who is a Chow/GSD/Akita/APBT mix. You're boy is a spittin' image, except he's blue, and Soul (friend's dog) is red
I wonder if he has some weimaraner in him? His eye color and the blue in him remind me of a weim Whatever he is, he is gorgeous Congrats on your baby, and thank you for adopting

I think one of the only reasons they called him a Shepherd Mix was because of his great big ears!

What a sweetheart.
Big time GSD in him(I know my GSD's). The GSD also comes in a blue(some what dilute) and the eyes are bright in colour. He could "possibly" have Belgian Malinois. When trying to figure out a mix, the ears are what I look at.

He looks just like a pitbull GSD lab mix a friend of mine had. He was a great dog with kids and other animals, and learned quickly. Great looking fellow!

Very very smart and gorgeous looking sweetie! I second GSD/ APBT mix. The GSD for the overall feel and the ears and longer snout, and the APBT for the posture, the strong chest, the roll the back part of the back, and the way he holds his tail.

Yes, he is a very smart one
He already knows various tricks. He learned to dance and sit up pretty in just a few trys, he catches on very fast. Yes, his body tone has started to fill out and become very muscular so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was in fact APBT and GSD. Thanks everyone so far with your speculations, keep em' coming, this is very interesting. |

WOW - stunning!!! I see amstaff X GSD. Regardless of the mix he is a one of a kind. Such a gorgeous boy.
BTW - you can ask for a DNA test. This may assist in knowing what the mix is. |

What a handsome guy! I don't know much about breeds, but he looks like GSD and Great Dane, sort of.

My guess is Weimaraner/GSD mix. Something about those eyes that have that Weimaraner look, and GSD upright ears and some of the black colour on his back and tail. White chest patch and white on feet is puzzling, so maybe some Border Collie in there too? Yes, that would be a very energetic dog, and protective too. At 62 lbs., probably too small to have Great Dane.

He definitely looks Weimaraner with those eyes and that coloring. My guess would be Weimaraner/GSD and possibly boxer x.
But whatever he is, he is a beauty!!
