Do You Know This Card Game?
When I was a teenager my friend and I used to play a card game that had about 13 different orders of cards that you had to get before you could move on. Some of the orders were something like this
1. 2 sets of 2 2. 1 set of 2 and a run of 4 3. 3 sets of three 4. 2 runs of five 6. run of 5 and 2 sets of 3 and so on, and so on does anyone remember this game, I know it was played with two people, two decks.

It's called Damn It. I used to play it with my kids when they were in their teens. Fun game. I have the rules here somewhere.
Ok, so now I can't find the rules. Figures. Actually I think people call it different names too. I found this site. Maybe it is on there somewhere. So sorry. http://www.pagat.com/alpha.html

I have heard of one (never played it but have patients who did called Phase 10 that had a similar kind of scenario but different in that the "phases" were Phases are:
1. 2 sets of 3 6. 1 run of 9 2. 2. 1 set of 3+1 run of 4 7. 2 sets of 4 3. 3. l set of 4+1 run of 4 8. 7 cards of 1 color 4. 4. l run of 7 9. 1 set of 5+1 set of 2 5. 5. L run of 8 10.1 set of 5+1 set of 3 Does that sound familiar? However, Gin Rummy also has similar rules which I forget - I am good at kid's games (gee, I wonder why, lol - like Crazy 8's and 31 and Go Fish et al) Does this help??? I have never heard of 2 sets of 2 , just 2 sets of 3 (also in rummy tho I could be mistaken there)

I"ve played a game like that, it was called contract, and there was 7 contracts you had to get to win the game.. My Son now has a game that is similar called Phase 10 that is much the same only you buy a deck of special cards and the game we played called contract you used 2 decks of regular cards..2's jokers were wild and I"m sure I have the 7 different contracts written down here if you want them. It's a fun game ( my husbands family played the same one, but they called it B itch,, so it must have many more names

Yep, used to play that with the neighbours... where you couldn't move to the next level until you got the one you were on. It would take all night. It was fun though.
