Thanks guys! I could get a dozen kittens tomorrow, but don't want to give money to bybers.

We frequently get Siamese cats, but only once ever did we get a kitten.

I wrote to the national Siamese rescue in the US, but I guess they didn't think I was a good enough home, since I have two adult cats, one of them a feral. I was asking about a 4 month old kitten they had as a friend for my feral, since she is afraid of adults but has no trouble bossing kittens around. They said the kitten would bully her when it was older and then what would I do then??? (Gee I guess I would dump it!) I like high standards, but...oh well!

Which one did you write to LR? Texas is the one that will ship - (tho I;d go and pick up aa kitty myself tho I do know their standards are high, they obvisouly do not know you.) The Va one is also good and has some great cats. There are two more in Calif - those 4 are all tied together in aloosely formed coaltion. Then there is NY Siamese Rescue which is completely different and also Michigan Meezer Rescue and Penn Siamese - these are all independent. And there is another west coast one. And you must know about the one in Manitoba tho it seems to me they tend to have more than meezers.

Do you know who you talked to?

Siri in Va is good to work with - I have found homes for kittens for her and doine the home check and so forth. And also the group in Austin which has sent kittens and cats hither and yon. I would not give up because one person said that - ask to speak to the pres of the association!!

Good luck!!!

I am keeping my eyes amd ears open for you!!! We will find you a kitten!!!!

I have to say, being turned down for a dog already, it's kind of funny that it happened to you too... I don't mean you shouldn't get a cat- I really hope it works out and you get your kitty. I mean that sometimes the filters are so strong that even the best ones don't get through.

Yeah it was kind of funny being turned down since I think I'm a pretty good home.

CK, I looked at the adoption application and I couldn't pass it anyway, since they insist that any other pets in the home be up to date with vaccinations and I don't believe in annual vaccinations for cats.

They missed on a wonderful home for a kitty, but I"m sure they have no problem finding homes that fit their standards.

SK = Saskatchewan...just a wee bit far.

Isn't he a doll though? I can't believe he's not adopted.

Oshawa is easy peasy to get a kitten from to Montreal. Go LR GO!

Unfortunately this appears to be a breeder looking for a free venue to peddle 7 week old kittens.

Certainly against Petfinder rules.

But thank you Kayla, for thinking of me!!

oh dang! Beautiful one came in two days ago but it's 7 months old... we all were so hoping it would be younger. We'll keep watching for you.

No idea what a "reasonable price" means to her but he is pretty young...

Yeah, this doesn't look promising:

Gee, how would someone know a 14 week old kitten is "fertile"? I guess she means intact.

Someone bought this kitten at a petstore and decided she didn't want him after all. The pet store won't give refunds, so she's trying to cut her losses by peddling him on that site.

I would take him off her hands for free, but wouldn't pay her a dime since he IS intact.

Have you looked at their application? I couldn't pass that either so I didn't bother. They want proof that all animals in your home are up to date with vaccinations, and I don't believe in annual vax for cats or for dogs either.

When they say up to date, I am not sure it means annually? Never really examined the application that closely b/c I know several of the members there do not believe in annual vax either (nor do I).

LuckyRescue, how does a trip to Florida sound?

http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=6045477

I saw her on Petfinder today and I thought of this post...obviously a bit far away for you, but i don't know, maybe a massive transport can be arranged?

I"m really amazed that a purebred kitten of any kind would be killed for lack of a home.

I know the Siamese rescue in the US also operates in Fla. so hope someone has informed them about this.

Agree with Chico - that kitten would have a home here immediately. Mine.

Siamese Rescues were notified, but looks like she is going to be adopted tomorrow morning and she will be joining a family where she will have several Siamese siblings
