Nose Discharge

I got my cat in October of 2013. He was about six months old when I got him. The entire time I have had him he has had a brown discharge from his nose. The discharge is like brown boogers that are dried up just inside his nose. I can use a fingernail and pick them out. He doesn't sneeze or cough or anything. Any thoughts on what this could be?

A cat nose can be runny for a lot of reasons, has you cat been to vet since
you had him?

He went to the neuter clinic last November. He had shots done there at the same tine so has not needed to go to my regular vet yet.

That was 9 months ago , you cat could have gotten sick in the time.
