Any GVRD dog parks *with picnic area*??

Per subject - anyone have any suggestions? I know at Derby Reach, for example, there are a couple picnic tables within the off-leash area (don't recall if there are BBQ pits). Any other places around that a group with dogs could gather to enjoy a little picnic/BBQ?

Well, the alternative might be someone's back yard... so setting aside this possibility for a moment... anyone LOCAL have any actual suggestions?

I think Burnaby Fraser Foreshore Park has some picnic facilities in the off leash area. If memory serves, there are BBQ facilities too.

The city is doing some work right now though and it looks like that area might be closed? A quick call would probably get you an answer.

Hope that helps!

Yeah, will probably be early June when this happens, so it might be good by then. Thanks for the pointer!

Edit: nevermind, just looked at the map, looks like it's in effect until the end of July. Oh well.

McDonald Beach in Richmond has a few picnic tables and is an off leash park. I have had BBQ's there with friends and it's been fine.
