When I saw your post, I was hoping that you found Tuffy. Good luck and don't give up!

JayneT, I'm so sorry you've lost your beautiful Silver Tabby ASH "Tuffy". These cats are so striking and gorgeous, and fairly rare cats, that it's possible that someone has picked her up and and was so smitten by her beauty, just couldn't let her go, even tho they might have seen your posters. I read thro the thread and could find no reference if she was microchipped. If she was, the only chance you might get her back is to inform all the vets in your area that your Silver Tabby ASH went missing and give them a poster of her picture & microchip number, then if she turns up at a vet office, they'll give you a call. Since she's been missing for such a long time now, I think you can hope that a kind person found her and she's living a pampered life. Wish I could be more positive, but I think you did everything you could to find her. So sorry!

Additional thought---did you try an animal psychic? I don't know of a name to give you, but I have heard of psychics being able to tell if the animal is dead or alive or living in a new home. Way out in left field, I know, but I would try it if I was in your position and it might give you some peace of mind.

Thanks catlover2,
We are still deeply overwrought by the loss of Tuffy. I will always love her and never forget her. Every day I wonder and hope and then push it out of my mind so that I can continue with my day. Unfortunately she was not microchipped. We did notify all the vets in Burlington and Oakville that she was missing and gave a description - as I know they are not a common breed in this area.

We did consider contacting a psychic. Not sure about it....

Jayne,I am so sorry you have not found your Tuffy yet, with her distinct color I was sure you'd hear from somebody.
Not knowing what's happened is the worst feeling, you can still have hope, that if someone has her, this person will give her up,feeling guilty

I'm so sorry you have not got any further news about your sweet Tuffy.

Hopefully she is alive and well somewhere, but not knowing is so difficult.
A few months back I posted a story that appeared in our daily newspaper about a family who got their cat back 14 years after she went missing so there is always hope. Maybe reading this story will give you some comfort. If you would like to read it, here is the link:

Sending for you and for Tuffy, wherever she is.

Jayne, I truly understand how you are feeling...our 4th anniversary of missing Sable will be the 27th of this month...not a day goes by you don't think where, why and are they ok...the love just never dies and we can only hope the best for them wherever they are.

Aww Shirley,I remember like it was yesterday when Sable was lost
Jayne,Shirley,I believe the not knowing is what tears your heart out after such a long time,if an animal has perished you can come to terms with that eventually..
But you don't know miraculous returns have happened
