Thoughts on new food

Hi Everyone!
I have 2 overweight cats Napster & Shasta who are 11 and 7 years old. Napster has stomach issues and they have both been eating Science Diet Sensitive Stomach Kibble and Science Diet Adult Liver & Chicken. After switching my dog over from Science Diet to Fromm's Grain Free because I read and heard so many bad things about the SD, I now want to switch the cats. I shop at Global Pet Foods and the clerk recommended these 3 brands and I would appreciate any input or other suggestions.

Kibble:
Oven Baked - Adult Chicken *Made in Canada
Happy Tails Holistic *Made in Canada
Felidae Platinum for Senior & Overweight Cats

Canned:
Felidae

I feed them canned in the morning and dry twice a day as they are grazers.

Thank you so much for the help

Best thing to do is to ditch the dry and get them eating just wet alone. Kibble is really not good for them. I like most people were told years ago that kibble is best to keep their teeth clean but its truly not the case.

If you think you will have trouble just wean them slowly. I too purchase from Global and I can thing of a few types of canned

Merricks
Natural Balance

There are so many more but I am drawing a blank. I am sure someone will stop by with some more info.

The nice thing about Global is they have a discount program where on certain bags of dog / cat food you buy 10 bags get the 11th free. They have a canned program where you get 5% off a case. Its not alot but it helps.

Good Luck and be patient sometimes the cats take right to the change but others a little slower.

I agree start to wean them off the dry asap!! I have 4 cats, 3 are male and have had pee problems with crystals. I still give about 2 handfuls of dry at night, likely a bit less now. I like Natural Balance but switched cause here they just have it small cans and when you're feeding 4 you need bigger cans!! I also try to avoid fish whenever possible, although one of my boys just LOVES tuna! So they get a bit of people tuna once in awhile. It's sometimes not easy to cut out the free feeding, I used to do that with dry, I had one of those dispenser things and man could they go through the dry food!! They definately don't go hungry but sometimes you'd swear they hadn't eaten in a week with the complaining!!
