Dog Park in Oshawa?

In moving back home, I've lost the ability to go to the dog park. There are ones listed in Ajax and such.. but not ones I'd ever want to let my baby off leash at.

In searchign the web I came up with Happy Tails K9 Park in Oshawa.. it's private.. members only.. but they don't have a site.. only a blurb on a listing of leash free dog parks..

Anyone heard of it? Is a member? Thoughts on how one joins when it's seemingly secretive? lol.

It's north of Oshawa - not that far from Walmart. Kathy who is starting it volunteers with the same rescue that I do. If you would like more information call 905-263-8247 and she will be able to answer any questions you have.

Hope that helps

Hi All,

Just wondering if this place really exists? I’ve left messages at the phone number provided and haven’t got a response. Could someone give me details regarding this off Leash Park?

Thx
Hardware

Couldn't tell you, I never called. I would prefer info on a website before calling a stranger.

Short of the reply I got here, and finding mention of it on one website with no contact info.. No one has heard of it out of people I've talked to. Makes me miss living in Niagara so close to so many parks.

I heard there was a bill passed to put in a public leash free in the near future.

I am seriously thinking of moving to Kitchener.... there are so many doggy things to do down there, and I have friends there too. There is nothing holding me here, I decided when I broke up with my b/f to make a fresh start.... how much fresher can you get. Just need a job there.

Dog park in oshawa

A friend was at the dog park at Harmony in Oshawa the other day and 5 or 6 other dogs attacked his 1 year old doberman pup. There was no owner in site of these dogs. The dog now is very sick with tetnus. It looks like to me there a lot of irresponsible dog owners out there taking their unbalanced dogs to dog parks and not supervising them at all. I will never take my dog to this park.
