Question Shi tzu

I have a question regarding my two year old Shi tzu...for past couple of months she has been scratching/itching... It is not to point of bleeding, but I know she gets frustrated because she does not seem to get any relief. I have not taken her to vet as of yet, although I have been told that shampoo that containes oatmeal is suppose to help. I personally cannot tell any difference. Any comments? I sure would like to get this resolved. We have not fed her anything different.

Itching can drive a dog crazy...... please check with your vet and you can also give your shih tzu benadryl 1 pills 2xs a day. My shih tzu Jordie was also itch this summer and now that the frost came he is better but don't let the little one suffer.

that is how we found out that my poodle had food allergies. Taker her to the vet, it's well worth the visit. Puts the mind (and the itching) to ease.

Great glad it is helping with the itching. It is nasty to watch the little one suffer like that. Hey you will know better next time. You can keep her on Benadryl for awhile if you need it. Blaze used it for 5-6 months no long term effects.

Hey any pictures of your shih tzu you can post for us to see.
