For the fact that the owners treat them like crap they sure look like nice healthy, well adjusted dogs. Their hoomans don't deserve them. Send them over to me....

I hope you wrote the info back onto Blade's duct tape Could you pick up a cheap tag somewhere for each of them and have their name and phone number put on it and then attach them next time you see them?? That's what I'd be doing. Poor pups. I worry so about them getting hit by a car, a good thing would be getting dognapped by new loving owners.

nice tags...geesh, don't you wish you could just drive away with them and find them a nice home together? Poor puppers, you can tell they adore you.

Actually, they do look really good, better than they did before. From what I understand the MD of Foothills has really been coming down on him. He was very embarrassed when he came to retrieve them, he isn't sure how they got out of their pen, but assured us he would be looking into it in the morning. Seems like he's really trying to make an effort. I told him the duct tape tags are really sad and that the writing has worn off, that he should get real ones. He agreed.

You know what I never thought of that, but what a good idea, I will go get a couple tags and have their info engraved, and should they show up again with duct tape tags, I'll replace them. I didn't want to call their owner, I was all prepared to call MD of Foothills and High River bylaw the following morning. But given I was supposed to have some major dental work done that day, hubby insisted we call him. However, next time, I'll call MD of Foothills and High River bylaw.

I wish there wasn't a dog limit, and I wish they were nuetered, cuz I'd love to keep them for myself ...

Chico, a couple months back, these dogs ran away from home several times in the matter of a couple weeks. The first time I found them wandering, I brought them in as it was the middle of the night, and I stayed up and took care of them. The owner came the next evening to claim them. Then the very next night, or the one after, Blade (the yellow one), showed up again. I called the owner and he said to throw him back outside, he either makes it home or he doesn't. I was infuriated, and of course I kept him and called bylaw in the morning. A few days prior, he had received a hefty fine, from what I understand he received another one.
That's just a bit of the history.
My fear is that someday, they will escape during the night again and end up hit and killed.

Poor babies, at least they have you for a friend.

What concerns me is how mad was he at the dogs and what will he do to them. Hope he rehomes them.

That is what happened to our last foster, she ran away so often that the owners finally said to animal control, keep her. Good for her, she is now in a loving forever home. She went from neglect to spoiling. Hope that happens for these guys.

I can't believe they ended up at your house again!

Has the owner been more successful in keeping them at home since this last visit?

They do seem to enjoy their visits to you What do the girls think of them?

I don't know......... I think I'd be making them permanent fosters. They do look like they are fairing better though. Maybe he learned a lesson. I bet with your guidance he could learn more.

The owner has been more successful since this last visit, haven't seen the boys since.
I didn't introduce them to the girls or to my Rotti, because the boys are both intact males, and I felt it safer to keep them seperated from my pack.

I hope they are doing ok, like I said if they show up again it will be the last time.
